We have prepared hypertufa containers, or you may bring your own pot, and we’ll help you design a unique and interesting water-wise creation.

African Violets and Gesneriads: An Affordable Addiction

There is a reason that these lovely plants can be found in so many homes, for so many years. With many varieties beyond the typical purple bloom, they are a collector's delight, and their relatives, the gesneriads, include gloxinia, streptocarpus, and the fun lipstick plant.
We'll discuss easy care, soil, light, and water requirements, propagation techniques, and how to encourage blooming.

We had a marvelous slide presentation about the Heritage Gardens at the Ohio Governor's Mansion: very inspiring. Some of our staff have already made a trip to volunteer in the gardens "cleaning up" this spring.
